CHUNKERINO!

Hi everyone!

After having Andrew write Pico's first blog entry I really lost track of time... You don't realize how short 24 hours are until you have a newborn to take care of!

Everything is going wonderfully, Pico is growing, no actually he exploded few weeks after being born and he is now a "chunkerino"!

These past two months were a time of firsts, the first smile, the first laugh, the first holiday, the first ride on the underground, the first sniffle (we could have done without that!), the first General Conference and so on...

so... we brought him home and we soon realized that he has the two best sisters in the world, well... we always knew that they were going to be good with him, but they really "stepped in" and are helping me a great deal!

Kim litterarly runs home every day from school to hug and play with him... even when she has lots of homework to do she still takes time out to give him a hug and either help me around the house or entertain him while I quickly zapp the place up...

Lilly is gentle and playful too, she learnt to give him baths and we often have a bath session with big baby and small baby together, and they both love that!

Soon after he was born Andrew came up with the nickname Pico... a name with many meanings... it's the short for "piccolo" (little one in Italian) and it is also a very small unit of measure (the picoliter is one trillionth of a liter 0,000000000001).

So we have been referring to Adam as Pico since the day he came home from the hospital... it suits him... or it suited him when he actually was a small baby... but he is growing so fast and so big that I fear that I soon calling him Pico is going to be like calling a rottwaler Fifi... or Fluffy! "so this is my son Pico..." "Who... the 20 stone 6'7 boy ?" "yes, that's my baby... isn't he cute?!"

ahahah I am afraid I am displaying all the classic signs of the classic Italian mummy... I fought long and hard not to be the stereotypical big Italian mamma, but I think that now with my boy on my arms looking at me adoringly (he likes his mamma!) with his big blue eyes, I am quickly loosing the battle...

I am constantly telling him that he is the cutest and most intelligent baby in the world and when Andrew gently tries to make me be "realistic" and consider the possibility that somehow somewhere in history there might have been a cuter baby, I end up growling at him!''

So... here it is... mummy's pride and joy...

This is the first outfit I put on Kim and Lilly when they were small, so it was lovely to see it on Pico as well.

This was on the train on the way home from a day trip to Oxford. It makes me smile when Andrew says he doesn't see himself in the baby, because in this picture they have the very same expression!
